Commercial Rental Assistance Grant: Applications open NOW until July 22

On January 12, 2021, the City Council approved the development of the Commercial Rental Assistance Grant (CRAG). CRAG is funded by the third round of emergency grant funds from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG CV-3) allocation. Relief Revitalization Fund

On March 11, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 created the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund to provide grants for restaurants sustaining financial losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is administering the program, and will be issuing the necessary federal rules, regulations, and applications before grant funds are distributed. Indoor Dining Opens up at 25% Capacity

As of March 12, 2021, it was announced that Long Beach has now moved into the red tier of the State’s Color Coded Tier System for Economic Recovery, which means we can expand restaurant operations. Starting March 15, 12:01am all restaurants in Long Beach, can now open their doors to indoor dining at a 25% capacity or 100 person limit! 3rd Party Delivery Fees Capped!

The LBRA weighed in at the city council meeting on January 19th to cap the amount third party delivery services can charge our restaurants. With a unanimous vote, the council moved to cap the fees at 15%! It is a small win for our restaurants, at a time when every little bit counts. LBRA is raising money to assist Long Beach restaurant employees impacted by COVID-19
